The GT2 was MK's second edition of the GT1. Now owned by Spire Sports Cars as the GT-R, we still feel it deserves a place on this website for the people that purchased one while it was in the hands of MK.
The GT2 evolved from the GT1 with many improvements being made to
strengthen and refine the chassis. The lightweight chassis has a mid-engined layout with weight distribution moved forward from
its predecessor to improve handling. It was designed to accept Sierra donor running gear and was available in left or right
hand drive configuration since the change to the use of Escort steering racks. The engine bay accommodated a variety of motorbike
or car engine options allowing the customer to build it within their performance requirements and available budget.
