The Indy is a sierra based lotus seven styled kit with independent suspension. It's main features are a tubular triangulated chassis
with double unequal length wishbones front and rear giving superb handling. All major components such as the differential, drive shafts
front uprights, brakes and steering all come from the popular and easily found Ford Sierra. The Indy comes in two basic types a car
engine powered chassis which can use most modern car engines and the B.E.C chassis which uses most modern large motorcycle engines.
The new style chassis has a completely new computer designed chassis from the ground up. It features an all new pushrod front suspension
as well as a revised rear suspension layout for improved road holding, increased roll resistance and increased torsion stiffness. All
this comes from increased chassis triangulation while keeping to a lightweight design.
The club is looking for projects to feature on this page, so if you think you can contribute, get in touch via the contact page.
